The following text is a short story I wrote earlier this year and which I commented several times afterwards (below). I agree, my comments become more and more depressing to read! However, I deem it just as necessary to embrace the lows as it is to embrace the highs in live. Both give me strength and inspiration.

The ones remind me of where I don’t want to return to and the other ones of where I want to go

About dreading and dreaming…

A story of humankind:

There was once or they will be one day or there might be right now, a population of humans on this planet that could only do what they thought was right. They thought about everything before they did anything. These humans emerged from their circumstances allowing them to do so. They did little, for little is truly justifiable. Drink, eat, sleep.

In a world where some or most humans act against any kind of justified reason all of the time, these unfortunate beings found their end in depression and suicide, for they could not bear to see a much more advanced and unsustainable civilisation rise and build a world that would grow infinitely in complexity.

They would have the same sense of reason, these other humans, however it would be limited in a way that the means of one thing justify the end of another thing. In other words, they didn’t care about the true purpose of things, the true nature of existence and simply lived their happy and ignorant lives. They were so prone to manipulation and exploitation therefore, that the entire world transformed into a machinery of misery, where the majority of human beings give their time, their dignity their, energy away to a small minority of beings who live in the illusion of habits and standards, making them believe they need what they want and that they have every right to get what they want.

This is the story of the last humans, for how could there be any other humans when these humans make any other kind of being die for their own profit or out of depression and despair.

Additions and Comments:

The more humans there are, the more technology and progress there is, the more history and expansion (time and space) humans occupy, the more complex and intangible becomes our reality. Higher complexity necessitates higher organisation and more rigid structure. Chaos, the state of utter freedom, uncertainty, danger and beauty is crushed in the long run, almost accidentally it seems. Merely for the sake of more, more and more every being on this planet will be a slave to a system that nobody can justify or explain anymore. Dependency from a system is justification enough not only for its existence but also for its continuous upkeep and expansion.

How to live in world that will always change you more than you change the world? Is Faith an excuse not to think? Are most things excuses not to think? Not to act? Human nature for instance. The idea that you cannot change something bad about yourself or society because you believe it is unchangeable, and all that, just because you are lazy. And laziness of course is also human nature. Genes? If those are actually our genes, let’s change the genes… if they are not, well then let’s change ourselves!

I cannot speak for others anymore. I have realised how arrogant and idiotic I have been so far in my life and though I am unable to change that abruptly, I may commence today. Personally, I begin to realise how much muwci [my school; UWC Mahindra College] is and how bad it is for it to be too much.
